Project Bourg-de-Four

This apartment is situated in an historical building, overlooking the most ancient square in Geneva’s old town. The owner is an Art collector, grown up in Japan and in the United States, with a special fascination for the asian culture. To him, the house has to be a “refuge harmonieux”.

Our decoration project redefines the spaces by changing colours, adding textiles and furnitures, as well as supporting the customer in choosing some of the Art pieces.

We worked on new chromatic harmonies, adding a tapestry look like wallpaper, as well as pieces of furniture that reshape the space, without overturning the pre-existing aesthetic. Curtains, rugs and fabrics have been very important in this project.

The entrance faces a charming internal courtyard, right behind Saint Pierre’s cathedral.
A burgundy little sofa beside the big painting in the hall at the entrance.
Traces of Pop Art in the corridor with I Hope Neon by Oree Holban, give a stronger touch of colour, yet well harmonized with the atmosphere of the house.
The dining room originally looked too cold, like a white box with uniform walls. We chose a warmer grey color on the boiseries and a tapestry look like wallpaper on the front wall. A wooden piece of furniture by Riccardo Monte is the latest touch that perfectly meets the oriental, vintage taste of the house.

The living room stands out as the heart of the apartment. The vivid colours of the textiles and the sofa are mixed with a warm wooden floor, as the design furniture live together with ancient oriental pieces of art.
