Villa Oleandro

Villa Oleandro

The renovation of this charming home—nestled in the picturesque Valle di Muggio in Ticino, just steps away from Lake Como—has been a true labor of love. The primary goal was to renew the villa’s interiors while enhancing its 19th-century character, preserving a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and introducing contemporary design pieces that would sit in perfect balance with the house’s historic soul.

A central focus of the project was to create a harmonious dialogue between past and present.

The rooms were reimagined through a carefully calibrated color palette paired with renewed wallpapers featuring motifs and textures that highlight the villa’s unique personality. Every chromatic choice was made to enhance natural light and spatial depth, resulting in environments that feel elegant, inviting, and serene.

The selection of contemporary design pieces was guided by the desire to enrich the interiors without overshadowing the original historical elements. The result is a balanced blend of old and new, where each piece interacts seamlessly with the next, creating a refined and harmonious whole.

A distinctive aspect of the project was the intention to harmonize the interior design with the owners’ collection of objects gathered from around the world. These unique pieces add layers of personal stories and memories, integrating naturally into the spaces and contributing to the villa’s authentic and vibrant character.

Finally, every material, tone, and texture was chosen to echo the quiet, natural elegance of the surrounding landscape, creating interiors that converse with nature and reflect the beauty of the Valle di Muggio.

The interior design project of Villa Oleandro B&B stands as a perfect example of how history, contemporary aesthetics, and personal collections can coexist in harmony, giving life to unique spaces that welcome guests with warmth, elegance, and a deep connection to the natural environment.
